Obama's Scholarship Money Helps Working Moms Go Back to School

The two biggest hurdles for mothers who enroll in higher education considers the cost and time. Certainly time and money are bad enough without to become something more. But if they can be eliminated, it would not make sense, at least, the signature for a few classes, just to get started? Now is the time!

Part of the stimulus package includes a huge increase in the amount of federal funds for the improvement of skills and education level releasedAmerican workers, especially in the fields of medicine, medical technology and new technologies such as alternative energy.

For example, Pell Grant amounts have been increasing and these are grants, which must not be re-paid. They are the people at the lower end of the income support level, but depending on family size, they cover more people than you might expect.

Another source of financing is your particular state. Each state will receive money to aid in trainingdisplaced workers (those who have lost their jobs recently) and other projects, the state considers it necessary. Some states are also aids for those who are considering the really big step: medical school. For every doctor who is working under the program guidelines and agrees, for three years in an underserved area, the training is essentially free.

Of course, it all depends upon your family situation. Income and the number of people in your household are factors in theQuantifying the amount of the grant. Also important to consider: the tax credits that may be available that you can continue to reduce your financial obligations.

But it costs nothing to find out. Please contact the school and talk with their financial officer, or read the information in the Ministry of Education website. The assistance is free, the tuition and books - and in some cases child care - are covered. So do not wait!
